Yorkswood Primary School

We were appointed by SMBC School Asset Support Team to design and deliver a brand new 2.25 FE primary school in north Solihull, built on the site of the existing dilapidated school (which was demolished upon completion). An extensive consultation process was undertaken with the school and client team, wider stakeholder and local community to establish a common language and priorities.

As well as designing the new school, upon the demolition of the existing school, Landscaping works were conducted to include a new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) for public/private use.  In addition to the above works, we completed the refurbishment of the adjoining Brambles Nursery and created a new feature shared entrance canopy area to link the two provisions.

The new school was delivered as part of Solihull Councils “North Solihull Regeneration Programme” and incorporated a significant programme of works to make a real difference to people’s lives through an increase in quality housing stock, improved opportunities and access to employment, improved local communities, village centres, enhanced green spaces and new schools; and improved public transport.
