What should SEN learning environments look and feel like?
Nasen stress how important the physical environment is to SEN pupils particularly for those with sensory sensitivities.
We are passionate about creating inclusive, homely, calming spaces that enable all students to access a full and meaningful education.
We know that by the time pupils find themselves in a specialist setting, they may have school trauma and find it difficult to attend a traditional school building. The concepts of “school” and “classroom” can be triggering. Creating accessible learning accommodation for these pupils is something we find interesting and inspiring. We have lots of ideas.
We are dedicated to driving positive change in the delivery of education for our most vulnerable residents with Special Educational Needs. We aim to be a key part of the ongoing dialogue with education providers as we shape the future of SEN education. We understand that tomorrow's SEN schools may differ significantly from traditional classroom models. We would love the opportunity to explore how we can work together to design and deliver innovative learning environments that ensure every student has access to the meaningful education they deserve.
Please get in touch if you are looking for a fresh perspective, we would love to help and support you.
